The rescue operation at Chile to rescue the trapped miners was the manifestation of leadership, sacrifice, risk taking, technology, human will, family and faith. The leaders of both Chile and Bolivia was really hands on throughout the rescue operation. Throughout the operation, they demonstrated leadership. The eldest member of the rescue team, Manuel Gonzales was the first to go into the mine, and he was the last to get out. He was within the mine for 25 hours and 14 minutes, actively participating in the rescue operations, along with another five members of the rescue team. Great demonstration of leadership by him. Surviving in a mine under life threatening conditions for 70 days is nothing but the power of human will and faith. Congratulations to the entire rescue team, responsible political leaders, trapped mine workers and their families for demonstrating to the whole world, the power of human will.
